It sure is going to be a Happy Valentine’s Day for all our gamer friends. PlayStation 4 and 5 users can play online for free this weekend as Sony celebrates Valentine’s Day.
Playing multiplayer games online generally requires a PlayStation Plus paid subscription, but Sony said on its website that users can get the service for free from February 12 to 14.
In its official announcement PlayStation said: “Who will you team up with this weekend? Share the multiplayer love this Valentine’s Day.”
The free period will run from 12:01 a.m. on February 12 to 11:59 p.m. on February 14, presumably in local time because PlayStation hasn’t specified any time zones. Despite the weekend deal, users will still need the real games to play online, as the PlayStation Plus monthly free games will not be available.
While playing a competitive game for Valentine’s Day weekend may not be the most romantic option, there are plenty of co-op games to explore.
Happy Gaming! 🙂
