Hello fellow gamers, so today we will be talking about a very interesting game, the Town of Salem. Basically, it’s a 7 to 15 player game in which the uninformed majority (the town) takes on the informed minority (the mafia).
In terms of mafia, there are 3 different alignments or teams which can be assigned to you. The town which is the uninformed majority or the good guys has to kill all the mafia in order to win. The key here is that the town does not know who is who! Mafia however is the informed minority. They are considered the bad guys and their role is to kill all in the town and whosoever gets in the way.
The mafia has an added advantage in the games as they are able to find who the other mafia is and then they can operate as teams in order to get the town in order to win the game.
So that was a small overview of the game. Now let’s move to the interesting bit, the Town of Salme Investigator Role.
The Investigator’s role in the Towns of Salem is to lynch every criminal and evildoer. The investigator’s ability is to investigate one person each night for a clue to their role. For example, it could say that your target works with weapons. They could be a Veteran, vigilante, or a mafia.
It is important to remember that the investigator has arguably the most important will. Write up the best will you can as this information is vital to the town.
Also in classic mode, the investigator is much more powerful and you can easily narrow down the number of roles and it can be a lot quicker.
Tips for Town of Salem Investigator Results
- Always consider if it’s worth revealing your identity as an investigator. Your information is valuable and you will be putting yourself at extreme risk.
- If someone’s role could be good or bad, ask for their role.
- Work together with the sheriff.
