Hey there, fellow gamers! If you have clicked on this article then, you are either already playing or thinking of playing Lost Ark. So, in order to make this decision easier for you, we are here with Lost Ark Game Review.
Introduction to the game:
Lost Ark was launched recently in the west after it took Korea by storm since its release there in 2019. Lost Ark is a Korean ARPG/MMORPG hybrid that combines the best and worst of both genres.
Its lofty aspirations are hampered by cliched narration and a monotonous quest structure, but it offers a large and spectacular fantasy experience heightened by a superb combat system and an incredible feeling of scale. It’s a wacky, loud, cliched, and occasionally inspired chunk of game design.

Classes and their respective sub-classes:
In broad strokes, the plot follows your character on a globetrotting MacGuffin quest in search of the eponymous Arks, seven objects of enormous power critical in turning the tide of the mortal realms’ war against invading demonic armies.
You can choose from five different classes to build your character: Warrior, Gunner, Mage, Martial Artist, and Assassin. Classes are then further subdivided into more sub-classes. Warriors can choose between damage-dealing Berserkers, melee/ranged Gunlancers, and Paladins, who combine swordplay with holy magic.

Combat in Lost Ark:
The combat in Raiders of the Lost Ark is mainly centered on these meaty combat talents, to the point where you’ll only utilize your regular assault to sweep up stragglers after the fight has already been won. As you level up, your abilities become even more remarkable.
Every few levels up to roughly 40, you unlock new fighting talents, while each level gives you ability points to develop your existing skills, making assaults faster, more powerful, or with long-lasting effects.
At first, Lost Ark feels quite guided. The globe is divided into continents, which are further subdivided into zones. These zones are meant to be explored in a precise order, sending you down a path of primary and optional tasks.
The questing system in Raiders of the Lost Ark is a satire on MMO design. You’ll be dispatched to kill monsters that revive so quickly that it’s often easier to wait for them to reappear than to explore.

Lost Ark, on the other hand, gets away with it for two reasons. To begin with, the tasks move you quickly through the zones. The objectives are not only simple and uncomplicated but they are frequently completed with a different NPC than the one who assigned the mission.
This keeps the game moving forward and prevents backtracking, while also giving a steady supply of rewards such as coins and new weapons and armor.
Second, these short-duration tasks progressively lead to major story arcs and events. Most zones lead to a dungeon, which is an instanced region that you can explore with up to three other people. These dungeons come in all shapes and sizes, from ancient ruins to pirate coves to decaying catacombs full of heretic priests.

They’re fascinating places to explore, and unlike the more general zones, they’re not overrun with continually generating foes, making fighting a little more enjoyable.
Highlights of the Game:
The highest points in Lost Ark, on the other hand, are tied to key plot events. The majority of the game takes place on the continent of West Luterra earlier, as you try to aid errant King Thirain in reclaiming his throne from usurper Lord Scherritt.
The tale has you assisting Thirain in gathering his armies across several zones, culminating in a massive castle siege. It was truly fun as you dash along the castle’s fortifications, murdering foes while siege engines blaster the walls with boulders and chains. Then, in East Luterra, Lost Ark does take you to a conflict that is not only bigger but also stranger.
It’s tough not to be swept up in the monumental events unfolding before you when Lost Ark goes full throttle. And everything I’ve said so far is just the beginning of the game’s content. At the end of East Luterra, the game hands you a ship, allowing you to embark on a journey to discover the rest of the vast globe.

There is a slew of new places to visit, ranging from weird islands populated by talking animals and other anomalies to entirely new areas where you can pursue your hunt for the remaining arks. Some of these locations are quite unusual. Your first stop away from the mainland, for example, is an island occupied by pixie-like creatures that cultivate ladybird farms in the woods.
The Raiders of the Lost Ark may be a thrilling adventure, so it’s a shame the main tale isn’t as engaging. The priest Armen, who is half-human, half-demon, is the only character with any genuine depth. The way the game treats the concept of duality offers you a sense of how deep the story goes.

In Conclusion:
It’s difficult to be angry at a game in which one of the bosses is a pirate’s parrot whom you battle on a tabletop after shrinking yourself with a magic potion. The combat alone is incentive enough to play Lost Ark, and the game’s absurd scope and numerous bizarre tangents help it overcome its dull plot and by-the-numbers quests.
That being said, we suggest you definitely try out the crazy and mesmerizing world of Lost Ark. Experience mind-blowing battles and explore the vast oceans as you wander from one island to another. We give Lost Ark a big thumbs up!
